QANDEEL BALOCH: A SHAME FOR SOCIETY?

In the recent show of Mubashir Luqman, Qandeel Baloch (supposing everyone already knows about her) was invited for the interview for her take on ‘striptease’. Also I got to know that Facebook had blocked her page due to to many of the reports against it. It was a bit surprising to me that people who made her that famous reported her page on social media.

And as per Qandeel Baloch,
“Social media kisi k bapp ka nae hai!”
That’s why she took the platform to deliver her message to general public. Whatever her message was! Searching her personal site, I see a “Bandwidth Limit Exceeded” message and I’m laughing the hardest I have in years, maybe. I hope all of you know very well what it means.
Fact is that nobody knew her before she was thrown out of Pakistan Idol, which she claims to be the reason behind her ruined career and personality. In the year 2015, she had a clash with another Pakistani model Mathira, which made her win the audience and she was titled as so called fashionista by many.
People neither knew her nor were they interested in her actual origin; all they want to do is to see her videos hundreds of times, share them across social media and then criticize her to the moon and back. Being free, they love gossiping about her. You guys have every right to have difference of opinion, but this is what the reality is. In past few weeks, there was nothing more viral than her videos on social media. And her strip video was shared more than ever. Then what’s the logic behind reporting her page? As if everyone here is a saint. Sorry to say… but I’m not sorry for being rude! I myself have heard people saying that media and extremists are doing wrong with her and as per freedom of speech; she has full right to say whatever she wants to.
Here in this society, every other man wants his woman to be veiled, yet longs to see that Qandeel Baloch sort of stuff. As a matter of fact, she is now discerned as an embarrassment for the image of Pakistan in rest of the world, but I ask you guys who made the world notice her? Discussing her so much all the time led us to nothing but promoting a character which is nothing but an utter shame for all of us. Is it still OK to blame her for all this mess? You never know what someone’s story is… she opted a disgusting way to advertise herself because she knew that this trick was going to work. And it worked. Today, all and sundry knows her.
She might have opted some other way to be famous, if getting famous is that important… and there’s no doubt in it that she has a melodious voice. We ought to be that receptive to acknowledge the reality, or maybe confess it. Plus she is bold enough to speak her mind out. Is that wrong? Maybe she needs some care and love; she deserves the same respect being a human first, then a girl. What made her earn fame this way, is another argument.
