Monday February 22, 2016, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan has issued the ranking list 2015 of best universities in Pakistan according to which Quaid-e-Azam University has been ranked as the best university of Pakistan in the general group.
The second and third positions were obtained by University of the Punjab in Laho re and National University of Science and Technology (NUST) respectively. This university ranking list was announced by the head of Higher Education commission Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and he unveiled the rankings of 129 universities in Islamabad yesterday.
On the other hand, according to the HEC category wise ranking list 2015 Agha Khan University was given the status of best medical university of Pakistan whereas Iqra University Karachi was listed as the top business university as well as NUST is ranked as the best university in the field of engineering.
This HEC ranking was finalized on the basis of quality assurance, teaching quality, research, finance as well as the facilities and the social integration and the community development.
